at 6:50 ,You should have a Persuasion option to tell the emperor it is time now for you to trust me, emperor ... its is realy annoing and shame we must choose beteween one and the other... logic demand we can have boath that way would truely be a perfect ending but i guess this is a losest to perfect endig as possible

its awful how no matter what you do someone in you party has to become illithid just to use the netherstones. I did this tutorial without researching and I lost my entie party because I didnt turn someone ilithid for the final fight :(((

Wait, who became a mindflayer in your team? When I played, the only options were: keep the emperor (but kill Orpheus), turn Orpheus into a mindflayer or turn into a mindflayer myself. There was no option to turn nobody into a mind flayer, while also having Orpheus free. Is this a mod?

Wait what.?..I couldn't convince Orpheus to use Gale to destroy the Netherbrain and had to become a Mindflayer myself (didn't want to sacrifice Orpheus for Lae'zel)...that romance ending was weird... :/

Laezel is easily one of my favorite characters. I kind of regret cheating on her with the She-Devil 😅 Having her on anything other than Githyanki armor feels weird to me lol

My Gale only mentions the orb when I talk with the emperor and stays silent for my conversation with Orpheus 🫠

Aww man I told gale to kick rocks in the beginning, and my Orpheus ended up becoming a mind flayer lol. Still satisfied with my ending. Flew off into the sunset with lae'zel on dragons

You can't beat the game. At the end it still makes you take the tadpole at the top of the brain.

For a guy who can allegedly mentally process several outcomes at once. The emperor lacks a truly impressive ablity to even consider any other FUCKING potential solution aside from the single one he presents. Honestly it characherises the litithids as pompus assholes who think they are far far smarter than anyone else. I supose this makes sense it is frequently the cause of their downfall.

the problem is for this to happen you have to basically kill Karlach. The "we need an ilithid thing is really annoying"

Just a heads up to anyone seeing this video now, got to the top of the brain and it gave me 4 turns until someone HAD to become illithid.

“The Netherbrain calculates every possible move at once” but it’s not calculating how I can just drink a haste potion, misty step/fly my way around to the crown, cast the protection globe over myself while I cast a spell and break the protection over the brain before 5 turns have passed? I guess the brain just underestimates me way too much.

This may be a dumb question, but can you actually defeat the brain if nobody turns illithid? Also, by going this route, does this mean you sacrifice Gale by using the orb?

honestly i'm kinda pissed. if you play as Gale Origin you get the chance to go with Mystra and be together. this is a nice ending. and it seriously annoys me that Gale doesn't if he isn't the player character. meaning i have to let Orpheus become a mindflayer to keep everyone
